How We Can Help (Ukrainians & Russian Protesters)

PayPal, has suspended functionality in Russia. Beyond the Russian people, many Ukrainian people used Russian accounts to access PayPal. This has actively harmed the civilians, particularly the artists, creators, and protestors. Many creatives have had to move to different payment platforms, such as Payoneer, Stripe, Paysend, and Buy Me A Coffee.

If you want to help support your Russian and Ukrainian friends, please refer to this rather helpful journal on FurAffinity! The journal will be transcribed here in case of deletion.

Also transcribed is a link to another journal, How to Help Ukraine!

It may seem a bit strange that some of the most comprehensive lists of helpful links comes from a place like FurAffinity, but it's quite important to remember how close-knit the furry community has been over the years. Moreover, many of these people are queer. A large portion of commissioned art in the community come from places like Ukraine and Russia, as well as other countries such as Portugal, Mexico, and Brazil.

While it would be easy to meme on the furry porn artists, I implore you recognize how revolted the community at large is with the current state of the world. These artists make their living this way, and now that income is threatened.

Here are some artists from Ukraine who are still accepting commissions despite the war! For even more, search for "Ukraine Artists" on your favorite art site or check out this joirnal: Help Ukrainian Artists!
